It is said; back in the fifteenth century, in a small village near Nuremberg, lived a family with eighteen children. When Albrecht returned home he told Albert it was now his time; Albert expressed his hands were too damaged from working and it was no longer possible for him to pursue art. Albrecht drew his brother’s hands, palms together as homage to his sacrifice. It became known as “The Praying Hands”
